Spinach pineapple detox smoothie recipe to reduce bloating!!!
Whether you had a bit too much to drink the past weekend or binged over the holidays, your body can use a reset.
Most likely, it’s deprived of essential nutrients and even dehydrated.
Not to mention the bloat and inflamed hands and feet.
If that feels like you, it’s time to revamp your body with green smoothie detox recipes.
And the best place to start is no place other than, my favorite vegan detox glowing green smoothie.
It’s loaded with nutrients that’ll enhance your body’s natural ability to rid of toxins. And by that, I mean detoxification.
Let’s also not forget, it’ll help you lose weight, burn fat, and improve your overall health.
And this is my preferred method of detoxing and cleansing over pricey supplements.
When it comes to detoxing and cleansing your body, natural raw superfoods have the power to do it all.
In fact, your body has the natural capabilities of eliminating toxins and pollutants. That’s only when your body’s functions are working at their best.
If you haven’t kept a stellar score when it comes to your diet and eating, you could likely use a boost. Or reboot, I should say.
But not to worry. I made this detox smoothie just for that!
In this green smoothie, I combined ingredients that’ll rejuvenate your body’s detoxification system.
It’s full of natural superfoods with detoxing properties like antioxidants. It’s also prepped with a chock full of fiber, electrolytes, and more.
Together, they’ll replenish your body’s hydration and get your gut to start working.
It’ll also sweep up and get rid of your wastes and build-ups and restock your body with deprived nutrients.
It’s a perfect drink for a little ‘pick me up’ in the morning or to kick start your weight loss.
Detox Smoothie Superfoods:
When you have a detox smoothie, all the power is in the ingredients.
For this vegan green smoothie, I packed it with 5 essential superfoods. Each has its functions that’ll help your body optimize its detoxification system. And I noted a bit of the superpower each brings to this detox smoothie.
Let’s get started.
1. Coconut Water (Electrolytes)
Coconut water is a great way to hydrate your dehydrated body. It has electrolytes that are charged with sodium, potassium, magnesium, and calcium. The minerals that are essential for body functions.
It’s also low carb and low calorie, making it a perfect liquid to add to your detox smoothie.
2. Pineapples (Antioxidants)
Pineapples are an exotic tropical fruit that comes with many nutritional benefits. Its bromelain helps digestion and the fiber supports your gut. It’s not widely known, but pineapples are also rich in antioxidants.
They not only fight off oxidative stress but also reduce inflammation.
3. Spinach (Iron, Vitamin A, and K)
Spinach is the king of superfoods and it’s for a good reason. It contains mostly water, making the veggie a low-carb house of nutrients.
It’s a source of protein, fiber, iron, and other vitamins like A & K. So much as it fulfills 200% of your daily amount of vitamin A and 600% of vitamin K.
To sum up, if you want to boost your nutritional intake for optimal health, spinach is the way to go.
4. Ginger (Antioxidants)
Ginger is a detox staple that’s also been used around the world as herbal medicine. This plant food is a great source of natural chemicals that benefit your overall health.
For one, it fights inflammation. Today, inflammation is becoming common due to poor diet and toxic chemicals. Ginger helps your body prevent and combat that.
Ginger is also anti-nausea and helps with digestion.
It’s also one superfood that adds a refreshing taste to your green smoothie.
5. Banana
Banana is fiber-lious fruit that helps to detox your body by keeping you regular. In the process, it helps keep your intestines clean. It’s also a source of other minerals like copper and potassium. Their antifungal properties also help to keep your gut flora healthy.
Unless you are on a low-carb diet like the keto diet, I’d add this super fruit to your weight loss diet!
